we all have dreams

Some have big dreams, some are so modest, that they just don't dare to dream.
Why? Where is the sign for "Stop dreaming"? Dreams are food for soul, food for us being able to love, to have a path and even for us as human beings.
They say we could make it happen if we dream. So I started to dare dreaming about something. Because who knows? I may actually succeed.

 I used to think I'm not able to do that, or go there, or have a certain group or a certain guy etc. But now I know that everything my dream machine has produced in my head, they all happen. :-)
Our dreams are so strong sometimes, that ambition is the label that gets super glued on our foreheads. And we all know labels stick.
Yes, I dare to tell you that my dream is to write for women magazines, articles and editorials. And even though is almost impossible now, at least I have something to believe in, far beyond my actual job, that has nothing to do with writing... hihihi
I dare to have a dream.

summer

We all know summer is about fun, sand in our shoes, naked boys and popsicle on the boardwalk. But what if there's more? They say summer fling is all you can get in the summer, but sometimes what starts as a fling can actually lead to the real thing. But let's not get our hopes up... Summer is all about fun. :-D

and who doesn't want to spend their summer at the beach, making friends and get all tan? 

yes... my summer was the greatest.  chinese or McDonald's ( I didn't even care about calories, because as long you have a great tan, everything looks good on you :-), walks on the beach, many margueritas and my girlfriends. Only us, and the rest of the crowd, parties every night, boys looking hot in the sun and the heat burning our feet in the sand.

But everyone can agree on one thing: the end of summer is the begging of a new season. Tans fade, the fling is getting serious enough to run away, and we all get sick of ice cream melting and sand in our shoes...

So why not wait for the next summer? I bet you haven't seen nothing yet...

the Disco era

Did you ever listen to old music, like Abba or Wham! and thought: "Those were the good times" ?
 I did. And let me tell you that the feeling is regret that I wasn't born in the 70's or 80's. The Disco Era is something that could be described like fabulous. The songs, the people, the mentality, the fashion... OMG, the fashion was just breathless.
You have seen some people on the street, dressed like "a million years ago" and you started laughing. Well, yes... they look funny for the modern world, but they're 100% natural. I like them. :-)

yes, I really like "the disco fever". And everything that goes with it, the platform shoes, the flared jeans, one-piece swimsuits, the hot pants and the bell-bottomed trousers.

about shoes.

Like most of the things that "talk" for us, shoes are like visiting cards. More shoes, more choices, more outfits, more ABOUT US. It's only the joy of wearing a nice pair of designer shoes and everything is now just wonderful and shiny, even though outside is raining or the subway is just chaos.

yes... Boots are my first choice for everything. That just tells you more about me. Like the shoes you're wearing tell me more about you. :-)
So next time you find yourself looking at one's shoes, think about how that person really is and how his/her shoes represent the person you're sitting in front of.

Ellis Island

I have a small book, that I bought when I was visiting the Ellis Island and The Statue of Liberty. It's called "I was Dreaming to Come to America". I've read that people came to America for no reason other than starting a new life. For millions of immigrants, Ellis Island meant the beginning of a new life.

 I remember now why was I so touched about everything from this museum. After almost an year that I spend in America, making friends and learning about "the american way", I had a strange feeling... I wanted to stay there. why?
 This is the only country where you're not a stranger, because we are all strangers. It's only a matter of time who got here first.

New Year's Resolution

Yes, the time has come for me to put my feet on the ground and just smile and be all excited about New Year Resolution. haha
So, let's see my resolutions to:

1. improve my education: get that "stupid" diploma that everyone dreams about 
2. improve career: get a decent job with a decent paycheck
3. improve self: ok, this might take a while :-)); reduce stress dramatically, become more organized, manage time, do things that make me happy, BLA BLA BLA 

So no, it's not that I don't think that people can actually stick to their plans, it's just that I am used to not be able to follow every single one of the resolutions. So, from now on, I will just stay calm and remember that I need to finish things that I've started. For now...
